Now that Just a Bit Shameless is out, what’s next?
- Ksar and Seyn’s book, That Irresistible Poison (Calluvia’s Royalty series, Book #2) will be released this summer. It’s a lot of fun to write. Ksar is my favorite kind of (anti)hero, and I’ve always wanted to write a hate to love story like this (I know some of my books have the hate-to-love trope, but they are almost fluffy compared to Ksar and Seyn’s book).
“I hate you.” Please touch me.
“You sicken me.” Hold me closer.
“I want to be free of you.” I can’t live without you.
The youngest prince of his clan, Seyn has been betrothed to the crown prince of another clan since birth. Everyone says he’s lucky to marry one of the most respected, powerful men on the planet, but Seyn knows better.
He hates Him with every fiber of his being. Ksar is a cold, uncaring, overbearing bastard who uses underhanded tactics to achieve his goals and who either ignores Seyn or criticizes everything about him. Seyn can’t stand him, and he’s willing to do anything to get out of the arranged marriage to a man he abhors.
But the line between feverish hatred and love can be very thin, and it turns out that freedom isn’t as appealing as it once seemed.
Is it normal to need a man you claim to loathe?
- I’m still trying to finish the book from Rutledge’s POV that I mentioned before. It’s not going well. I’m not happy with Rutledge’s voice. It’s just…off.
- Recently a reader has asked me to write a book about Nick Hardaway. I’ve never seriously considered it, but after giving it some thought, I think I will do it. Nick Hardaway’s book will likely be a smutty novella, a shorter book like Just a Bit Twisted/Obsessed. (By the way, in Just a Bit Shameless Sam calls Dominic “Nick” too; so now there are two Nicks. Hopefully it won’t be too confusing; Nick Hardaway and Dominic couldn’t be more different. Dominic will not be in Nick’s book; that would have been far more confusing. Sigh. Now I almost wish I could change Nick Hardaway’s name.) Anyway, Nick’s book, Just a Bit Gay, should be released in 2018.
